It's time to usher in a whole new semester! Truman State University's Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with President Sue Thomas” will take place from 7-9 p.m. this Sunday on the quad. All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend as we kick off the Fall 2026 Semester!
As new students begin moving to campus, the 2026 Truman Week festivities are just beginning! Here's a broad overview of what students can look forward to over the next few days:

Sal Costa presents his "History of the Mafia," a new online community course that will begin this fall at Truman. Participants will gain a wealth of knowledge regarding Sicilian and Italian customs, mafia structure, and common misconceptions. This one of four community courses which are available in the coming fall semester!
This 8 week online course will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning August 18.

The community course “Lessons from Death Row,” taught by Jesse Wren (’22, ’23, ’24) will be offered at Truman this fall. Through personal stories, research and reflection, participants explore what interacting with those in correctional settings reveals about learning, leadership, justice and oneself. This is among 3 other classes available to the community in the fall.
