Sal Costa presents his "History of the Mafia," a new online community course that will begin this fall at Truman. Participants will gain a wealth of knowledge regarding Sicilian and Italian customs, mafia structure, and common misconceptions. This one of four community courses which are available in the coming fall semester!

This 8 week online course will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning August 18.

The community course “Lessons from Death Row,” taught by Jesse Wren (’22, ’23, ’24) will be offered at Truman this fall. Through personal stories, research and reflection, participants explore what interacting with those in correctional settings reveals about learning, leadership, justice and oneself. This is among 3 other classes available to the community in the fall.

This 8 week online course is will take place from 6-8 pm on Mondays beginning August 17.

As we continue to highlight four community courses offered at Truman this fall, we present “Anatomy of a Monster: Film Bestiary,” taught by Tyler Unsell (’03). Participants will study horror films and literature to examine what monsters and their films say about the times that invented them, as well as how horror films give people all the tools they need to survive real-world “monsters."

This 15 week online course will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. every Monday, beginning Aug. 17.

"Discover Watercolor," a community course taught by Professor Rusty Nelson, will offered during the fall semester. Participants will be introduced to materials and techniques used in watercolor painting. This one of four other community courses available at Truman this fall!

This 15-week online course is open to anyone, and will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. every Thursday beginning Aug. 20.
